Wow, it’s just like new year, christmas and my birthday at the same moment. Paul Wolfowitz, one of the leaders in opinion building of the U.S. Republicans, slid in a corruption affair. I can’t believe it! He was the person who constructed the whole war on Iraq and the heaviest supporter of Mr. George W. Bush. Now he has misused his position as the president of the World Bank and put his girlfriend in a well-paid position with an illegal increase of her salary. (See 1,2).
I think, this is just the top of a big mountain of Corruption by American leaders in society, politics and economy. Just few things to remember: Dick Cheney and Halliburton. George W. Bush and many oil companies. George Bush sen. and Arab investors. There are many other such examples of possible corruption incidents. But like Al Capone they will never be accused for the huge crimes they did, but for small issues like this one done by Paul Wolfowitz.
